AN ORGANISATION WITH RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

At TJ Squared, we want to promote sustainable procedures and environmental choices throughout our business: from supplier cooperation, in our own offices and assembly plant to the counterbalancing of greenhouse gas when shipping material to our customers.

We believe that by taking responsibility for the parts of a production which we are in direct control of, we can help other parts of our value chain to perform even better than they did before.

COLLABORATION WITH PARTNERS

When choosing suppliers, we always prefer working with companies that show an ambition and desire to improve their environmental profile. Cooperating with these -our most trusted suppliers, we always encourage them to further develop their sustainable ambitions through agreements, training, audits and action plans. We consider our close suppliers great sources of new knowledge and insight from their industries and we  expect them to support us in our efforts to continuously improve our ESG.

IMPROVING OUR KNOWLEDGE

Our accumulated ‘knowledge bank’ of detailed information regarding raw materials, surface treatments and  production techniques is continuously being expanded by our strong team of professionals. It is our clear goal to constantly offer increasingly better and more environmentally friendly products and packaging options.

As part of this goal, we have the ambition of establishing defined standards for the percentages of recycled material within the various main material categories such as paper, metal, and acrylic that we offer our customers.

COMPANY-WIDE PARTICIPATION

We continuously inform and encourage our staff to take part in environmentally sustainable behaviour and practices. At our offices, as well as at our assembly plant, we promote resource conservation and all waste is sorted and recycled to the largest extent possible. We encourage all our employees to use public transportation to and from work by offering subsidies to each individual. In the same way,  all work related travel is done either via public transport.

For our in-house assembly plant, we continuously track resources used via daily reporting, accumulating data on wastage and flaws in an effort to reduce unnecessary consumption in future campaigns. We collect surplus raw materials, components, parts and packaging items, for use in subsequent campaigns where possible.

GREENHOUSE GAS OFFSETTING INITIATIVE

We know that shipping large quantities of goods to destinations around the world has an impact on the environment. In order to counteract the negative consequences of transport related greenhouse gas emissions,  we have set up our own offsetting initiative. Through voluntary contributions made to a non-profit climate protection organisation, TJ Squared balances all greenhouse gasses emitted when shipping goods. (For more information see CARBON OFFSETTING).
