Once a vision - today a proven set-up
Our company was founded on one clear vision: To be truly specialised in supplying custom-made visual merchandising campaigns, and to create the ideal and most competitive set-up in our industry.
A set-up that enables the design of outstanding and innovative custom-made visual merchandising campaigns, and produces them in a fully flexible and controlled production set-up.
TJ Squared is a Danish company that has established its operation in China since 2005. We come with our Danish design background and have an international team of professional Designers and Technicians speaking 8 languages. This enables us to ‘speak the language of our customers’ both in terms of language as well as understanding design, detail and quality.
By having our entire operation in China, we have a highly cost-effective set-up, which allows us to offer very competitive prices.
We have established and maintained a wide network of production partners in China and South East Asia, giving us access to a full range of materials and manufacturing methods.
Furthermore, in 2014 we have established our own manufacturing plant, where we consolidate and carry out final assembly and packing/co-packing according to customers’ worldwide distribution needs.
This combined set-up with our production partners and our own assembly plant, gives our clients the full creative freedom to design the best possible campaigns. Ultimately, this provides you with the most value for your budget from your VM campaigns.
Over the years, this set-up has successfully supplied a vast number of custom-made visual merchandising campaigns and displays to our loyal portfolio of international brands. Our set-up is proven!
The history OF TJ Squared
The First step
Designer and Co-founder of TJ Squared, Torben Kragh Jørgensen, relocated to China to set up an internal Chinese sourcing company for one of Denmark's largest fashion groups. The company had the purpose of sourcing and producing all store design elements at the best price available.
Co-founder of TJ-Squared, Thomas Halot-Jespersen, Finance Manager for the same fashion group, supported the setting up of financial and legal issues on-site in China.
The Idea
Torben and Thomas travelled to the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing. Inspired by the world-class athletic performances at the games, and Torben and Thomas’ strong friendship, they decided that their combined skill set would be the perfect match for creating a world-class performing company.
The foundation
1st of July 2009, TJ Squared was founded to be a truly Chinese based specialised visual merchandising company with a Danish design background.
The initial team consisted of Torben and Thomas, plus 5 Chinese colleagues, working out of a 25m² office.
From the beginning, TJ Squared worked with leading Danish companies within the fashion and jewellery segments. The likes of George Jensen, Ole Lynggaard, and a World-famous Danish Jewellery Brand.
The factory
In the process of becoming a unique visual merchandising provider, the requirement for a fully controlled in-house assembly plant was recognised as a natural next step.
The first assembly plant was an 500m² facility with 10-20 employees. Now, this has grown to a 5,000m² plant made up of 100-150 highly specialised employees.
The progress
TJ Squared reached a milestone achieving a turnover of DKK 100 million.
The Internationalisation
Founded as a Danish company, TJ Squared took the next step by formulating an international sales strategy. With this strategy came the decision to expand our group of only Danish designers and Danish Key Account Managers to have an international profile.
During the next two years, TJ Squared’s group of designers and Key Account Managers were expanded to consist of design specialists from Denmark, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, and Hungary. As a result, TJ Squared communicates with customers in all the main global languages.

TJ Squared was founded by two danes
Torben Jørgensen, a Danish designer, who – for more than 25 years – has specialised in store design and visual merchandising display for international brands all over the world. Countries he has lived and worked in include: Denmark, South Africa, Kenya, Singapore and China.
Thomas Jespersen, a Danish businessman, who has over 20 years of experience in finance, administration and trading from holding senior managerial positions in large international companies.
