CONTROL MECHANISMS AND AUDITS
TJ Squared is extremely proud of partnering with some of the world’s leading global brands within fashion, jewellery, timepiece, eye wear, beauty, and home & living segments for their visual merchandising campaigns.
We believe that the reason our customers trust us is because we never compromise and will actively seek to challenge and surpass the norms and standards of the visual merchandising industry.
For TJ Squared, it is essential that our suppliers are aligned with our values and share our commitment to upholding FAIR WORKING CONDITIONS AND RESPECT FOR THE INDIVIDUAL as well as our RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT FROM START TO FINISH
Our extensive network of suppliers consist of professional manufactures that have perfected their craft within their respective fields and material offerings. Furthermore, we use smaller suppliers that provide highly specialised niche components and processes as dictated by the task at hand. We prefer working with suppliers that we have had a close collaboration with for several years, meaning that we have fostered a high level of mutual trust and respect.
A TWO TIERED AUDIT APPROACH
Building on a foundation of trust and respect, all our suppliers are subject to a formalised control mechanism through our two-tiered auditing setup:
Tier 1 is our own internal audits where we through the use of a detailed reports ensure that we are fully aware of the situation at our suppliers. Our staff is trained in detecting potential issues and will seek to address these in collaboration with suppliers.
Tier 2 is external audits conducted by independent audit companies according to the standards of the SMETA, FAMA and FSC methodologies ensuring that our suppliers live up to internationally recognised conventions and standards. While the standards of SMETA and FAMA audits are broader in scope than the FSC audit we believe that each of these audits have their own merits according to the task at hand and we will employ them as such in close collaboration with the wishes and demands from customers.
Regardless the tier of an audit, TJ Squared will always carefully evaluate and reflect on audit findings, collaborating with the suppliers to address eventual shortcomings and encourage positive initiatives. Through close control with the resulting corrective action plans and follow up audits, we ensure constant improvement and full compliance from all our suppliers and corresponding network.
We believe that only through cooperation and dialogue with our suppliers are we in a position where we can positively impact their behaviour. We will, however, always have a have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to the violations of basic human rights. For instance; we do not accept forced labour and child work, discrimination or violence towards employees and we never accept any of the afore-mentioned in our value chain.
